Sponsored by Gray’s Recycling Services and Downies of Whitehills, the ever popular Food Fayre will bring together a mix of the region’s finest food and drink for you to taste and try.  The Food Fayre is complimented by the many food stalls located around the harbour areas.

With thanks to our local Coops for their continued support of the Festival Cookery Demonstration programme, we have also brought together a wonderful team of chefs and demonstrators who will use local ingredients, kindly supplied by producers from the Food Fayre, to create a feast of tempting dishes over the weekend.

Tim Comber is a professional chef from New Zealand who has made many appearances on TV in his native country.  Tim’s advice on dairy free, gluten free and lower sugar alternatives is invaluable. Join Tim as he creates a delicious range of ‘free from’ dishes and miss your chance to vote for him in the cook off competitions!

Charlotte Flower has been dipping Highland Perthshire in chocolate for about eight years now. Using foraged and local ingredients, she produces a range of high quality, delicious and distinctive chocolates.  Don’t miss the ultimate chocolate demonstration.

Barry Hawthorne, owner of The Isle of Skye Bakery, has many years experience of baking and will be delighted to share his knowledge and advice with his audience.  Barry will be sharing his knowledge in a masterclass on making bread.

Alan Stewart, Procurement Manager at Sutherland’s of Portsoy, will entertain you with some delicious breakfast ideas using wonderful fishy ingredients courtesy of Sutherland’s of Portsoy as well as entertaining you with his own style of humour during the Sunday afternoon cook off!

Stuart Stirling is Head of Hospitality at Inverness College UHI and is passionate about teaching cooks of all ages how to use fresh local produce with confidence.  Stuart will be cooking with chocolate and taking part in a cook off with Tim Comber – don’t miss it!

John A. Bain is a third generation butcher at Aberdeenshire Larder, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather who started the family business in the 1970s. Join John as he gives a butchery demonstration and prepares a haunch of wild Scottish venison to be cooked by Tim Comber.
